Lake Day!

We all decided to spend our normal "Sunday family dinner" at the lake yesterday. All of the family was there plus one of our good friends from Wales, Tia. Anna did fairly well at the lake considering she is still adjusting when we go out new places. Anna is an exceptionally observant baby, she takes in her environment and will really look around in new places and try to figure things out. This takes a lot out of a baby and normally she just ends up getting overstimulated. So for a bit of her lake experience she cried and ended up falling asleep. This happens most times we take her to new places....but, then after her nap she is her normal smiling self. Anna REALLY enjoyed riding in the boat. She did not enjoy having to be put in the life jacket though. But as soon as she was all zipped up, and the boat was moving she forgot all about the jacket and was content. In fact, she even fell asleep after a few minutes of riding in the boat. :)

Ward and Jewett Weekend!

This weekend was a busy one but wonderful! Friday we had a our final post placement adoption visit with our social worker and enjoyed getting to spend some time with her telling "Anna" stories. Then Friday and Saturday we spent time with some of my family who were in town visiting. John David and Marcia came from the upstate with their two handsome boys, as well as the Mr. Lee and Mrs. Sandy from Tampa, Fl. We grilled out Saturday and Sunday!
