Today we had a wonderful Mother's day! Most of Matt's family were able to come to our house to celebrate the day (since we aren't taking Anna out yet). The fellows grilled out and served us ladies. It was nice!
It is still amazing to me that I am in fact a mother and have this amazing daughter to share my life with. There have many times throughout our adoption journey that I just couldn't picture myself actually getting to this point. Words can't describe how elated we both are to have our dreams come true. I am forever grateful to those who have helped us get to this point through actions, encouragement, and support. I would also like to ask everyone to take the time to say a prayer for Anna's birthmother as a word of praise for choosing life for Anna and thanks for allowing us to share Anna's life (and birth!) with someone so special. It is because of her that I can celebrate Mother's Day today. She will forever hold a very important part of my heart!
