School Shower

I am very lucky to have a such a wonderful faculty and staff that I work with. They truly are an extended family. We have received endless thoughts, prayers, and support from them.  Yesterday, they were kind enough to host a shower for Matt, Anna, and I.  Anna spent her first day at school! Ha! I decided to go to school early to tie up some loose ends before the end of the school year. Of course since it was during school hours my students were roaming about.  My students were SO excited to see Anna and I.  They lined by my classroom window and took turns peeking in to see us.  It was so sweet to see them happy for our family!

Memorial Day

We were very fortunate to be able to have a long weekend this past weekend.  Matt was excited that he was able to spend an extra full day with Anna since he had Memorial day off.  We decided to share her with the rest of the family and we attended a cookout.  Here are some pictures from her 1st Memorial day.

We had our first baby shower yesterday and it was fabulous!!! Aunt Jean, Aunt Jennifer, Aunt Marcia, Mrs. Ruth, and Mrs. Iris so graciously hosted and prepared the event.  The shower was an "all girls" affair but there were some males that made an appearance at the end.  They just couldn't stay away! :)  Anna got so many great things!  It was nice to see some of our out of town friends and relatives there too!  Anna made her debut at the end and I got to show her off (one of my favorite parts!).  Matt so graciously agreed to bring her at the end so that everyone could take a peek at her (he gave up some of his daddy/daughter time).  :)   Everyone said how beautiful she was (of course!) and were just thrilled! 

Anna made out like a bandit!  She got several toys, a booster seat, a potty, diapers, wipes, and CLOTHES!  She also got a couple beautiful blankets.  Bath items were also in the mix, several hooded towels and washclothes. There are so many wonderful things to name!  I put pictures of her "loot" at the bottom so you could see everything.   Matt and I are so thankful for such gracious family and friends!

First Family Night Dinner

Anna attended her first family night dinner (we get together every Sunday) and I put some cute pics of her in her outfit from that day.  She had a blast but was tired by the end of the evening.   She is growing so fast!  Her days and nights are starting to be sorted out and she is getting better about sleeping longer durations.  Yay!   

This Saturday my sisters are throwing our first shower for me and I am getting excited about that. Anna is going to stay home with Matt for some Daddy Daughter time.  :)
