Matt and I plan on submitting our formal application tomorrow! Woo Hoo! It has been a long process. We have answered all 30 pages of essay questions, had the medical exams, and even hung out at the Lexington County Detention Center to get our fingerprints done. This is our first huge step in the process! Our next meeting will be March 14th and it is an all day meeting that goes over all of the legalities of the adoption process.

Yay! I'm so excited for you guys. Wow! It really seems like a very long process. I can't believe they had to take your finger prints and everything. Thats craZy. They really do get personal. So how much longer is the process?
It's really hard to say how long the process will be. We should be assigned a case worker in the next couple weeks or so. Our homestudy will hopefully be completed by the end of the spring so as soon as that's all over, we will be officially waiting. You have to be approved by the whole process before you can be placed with a child. Once we are approved then it is anyone's guess when we will become parents. Haha! There is a whole lot of guess work in this process. :)
hahaha sounds like the military. There is never anything set in stone. You just sign your life away and wait around. Well, I'm happy for you guys.
